Cleaning methods
Stones are naturally both emitters and receivers. So when you touch them, an exchange takes place on both the physical and vibrational levels. The stone thus absorbs your energies. Cleansing your stone regularly allows it to accompany you throughout your life.
Once the stone is saturated with your energy, it no longer emits its own energy as strongly. That is why it is important to cleanse your stones after each use.

Cleaning your stone regularly ensures it will be with you for a lifetime. When a stone becomes saturated with your energy, it no longer emits its own energy as powerfully. That’s why it’s important to clean your stones after each use.
There are two basic cleaning methods, depending on the type of stone: cleaning by immersing it in water and cleaning by burning incense.
CLEANING BY IMMERSION IN WATER
Most stones love water. When immersed, they release the energy they have stored through contact with you.
So, after each use of your stone, you can fill a container of your choice with water. Then, rinse your stone under running water for a few seconds before placing it in the container.
Your stone is now ready to be used whenever you're ready.
CLEANSING WITH INCENSE
Some stones deteriorate when exposed to water. In such cases, they are cleansed by fumigation using resins or natural incense sticks. Benzoin and olibanum are the most effective.
To do this, place a few grains of benzoin or frankincense resin on a glowing charcoal, or light a stick of natural incense. With either method, you can hold your stone in the smoke for a few moments.
Your stone is now ready for its next use, whenever you need it.
CLEANING FREQUENCY
How often you need to clean it depends on the weight of your stone: the heavier it is, the more powerful it is, and therefore the less often it needs to be cleaned.
